circumference somatics is the private practice of me, aria boutet! I’m a licensed massage therapist, certified sexological bodyworker, & fellow imperfect human. I bring a commitment to liberatory politics & years of ongoing study + lived experience around trauma, community mental health, reproductive justice, & bodywork to my evolving practice.

The core of my work is in supporting others to come home to their own bodies & sense of aliveness. I aim to reduce unnecessary pain (from injury, chronic tension, or past/ongoing trauma), & to facilitate greater self sovereignty & access to feeling. I have particular experience & interest in working with queer folks, pregnancy & postpartum, current & former sex workers, activists, artists/cultural workers & survivors of sexual trauma.

I recognize pleasure as both a birthright & a crucial source of sustenance. Experiencing connection is often our deepest form of pleasure, and the one through which we grow. We connect - to ourselves, each other, and the more than human world - by practicing devoted attention, presence, and curiosity. These are the primary tools that I use as a practitioner seeking to create conditions for change. I think this simple work is a balm that we need in this time & a source of power that we can grow (together).
